      Don’t forget to include the <style> or <script> tag.

      Zourbuth

      Sorry… but can you guide me step-by-step how to add the code in the widget?

    • Rick

      Hi, I’m not sure I understood how this work.

      I copied the following code in the “Custom” section of the widget:

      jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
      $('.flickr_badge_image a').live("click", function(){
      $(this).target = "_blank";
      window.open($(this).prop('href'));
      return false;
      });
      });

      Am I missing something? thanks!

    • Rick

      It was left out in my comment but of course I copied the bit too

      I tried your widget and inserted the custom code

      jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
      $(‘.flickr_badge_image a’).live(“click”, function(){
      $(this).target = “_blank”;
      window.open($(this).prop(‘href’));
      return false;
      });
      });

      into widget area.

      what should i give at the header file ?

    How can I make it work with prettyphoto or lightbox?

    • zourbuth

      You can make it with javascript or jQuery.
      Please refer to the example above on how to open image in new window/tab.

    • Amanda

      I’m having trouble getting the photos to open with pretty photo. I’ve added the script to the custom box, but I don’t know where to add the re=”prettyphoto”.

      Thanks for your time.

    I’m using the widget within my home page. I have the images set to 12 but it only shows 10 thumbs (there’s plenty of images in my flickr account) and even if I change to 16 it still only shows 10. Is there somewhere that this is stuck at no more than 10?

      Add this in the “Custom Script & Stylesheet”

      <style type="text/css">
          .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img {
              width: 60px;
          }
      </style>

      Hi –

      I want the images to open up in a new tab and inserted the code you said to and it works well.

      But the pictures are only displaying in 3 columns and I would rather have 4 (there’s a lot of unused space to the right of the 3rd column). I added the code above but nothing is happening even when I make the images as small as 40×40 (the images are smaller but no 4th column displays – still just 3 columns).

      I’m not really a programmer so could you please share with me the code for both so that I can get 4 columns on 2 rows of pics please (total of 8 pics)?

      This is what I have entered in to the Custom Script & Stylesheet:

      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img {
      width: 60px;
      }

      jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
      $(‘.flickr_badge_image a’).live(“click”, function(){
      $(this).target = “_blank”;
      window.open($(this).prop(‘href’));
      return false;
      });
      });

      Please share with me the correct code to enable opening pics in new tab while having 4 columns left to right on two rows.

      Thank you.

    • zourbuth

      Try to resize the image width:

      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img {
      width: 100px;
      }

    • John

      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img {
      width: 60px;
      }

      jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
      $(‘.flickr_badge_image a’).live(“click”, function(){
      $(this).target = “_blank”;
      window.open($(this).prop(‘href’));
      return false;
      });
      });

    How could I display the thumbnails in the widget on 2 columns ?

    Thanks 🙂

      I finnally found out how to do it 🙂

      Here is my custom style :

      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img {
      margin-right: 0px;
      }
      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr img, .zframe-flickr-wrap-rtl img {
      margin-bottom: 0px;
      }
      .zframe-flickr-wrap-ltr .flickr_badge_image {
      float: left;
      }

      And you can see how it looks on my blog : http://blog.jnicolas.name/

      Thanks for this great plugin 🙂

    The old version of this plugin let us dictate and swap the colour of the font in the TITLE by adding FlickrED etc code into the title box. Now it just deletes the script and keeps the title font the same colour. How do we override this?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    And thank you for the excellent plugin!

    I would like to ask if in a future release you could change one hardcoded link in widget.php so the plugin would be HTTPS friendly:

    src=’http://www.flickr.com >>>>> src=’//www.flickr.com

    I have done this manually on my site. Otherwise the plugin would not work without a user enabling mixed HTTP/HTTPS content.

    Thank you!
    Regards

    Reply
    • zourbuth

      Hi, actually the image and its attribute is generated by flickr automatically.

    • Ervins S.

      Yes, however if a secure page pulls something from an insecure location, in this case a Flickr JavaScript, you get a mixed content.

      I have restored the hardcoded “http” location in the plugin on my site, and if you will visit it now, you will see that the plugin will not function, unless mixed content is enabled.

      By specifying just “//” instead of “http://”, an appropriate connection will be determined automatically, rather then forced, and the plugin will function both on a secure site and a regular site.

      Regards

      Add this to the widget custom style & script box, and adjust to your need:

      <style type="text/css">
      	.flickr_badge_image {
      		margin: 0 3px 3px 0;
      	}
      	.flickr-badge-wrapper {
      		padding: 10px;
      	}
      </style>

      One more thing, is there a way to move the widget position a bit higher on the page?

    I added the following to my functions.php
    function my_jquery_function() {
    wp_enqueue_style( ‘jquery’ );
    }

    The following to header.php

    And the following to custom css

    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    $(‘.flickr_badge_image a’).live(“click”, function(){
    $(this).target = “_blank”;
    window.open($(this).prop(‘href’));
    return false;

    .flickr_badge_image {
    margin: 0 3px 3px 0;
    }
    .flickr-badge-wrapper {
    padding: 10px;
    }

    Still not able to open images in new window. I am using chrome browser.

      I am afraid it can’t be added, since the images are wrapped by “div” and it is a multi-column images.
      Perhaps you can add padding right and left to the images.

      Hello Aldo.

      You can try to extend the Flickr_Badges_Widget::widget() function for it,
      copy and replace the title with your code.
